Retro bet site attacked – customers lose out

retro-bet.com, a site which allows users to place bets on historical events, has reportedly been attacked by a hacker, resulting in customers losing out on money they put down on bets.

The site has been inaccessible since the attack was carried out, with the hacker thought to have gained access to users' accounts and stolen their money.

One customer, who wished to remain anonymous, told us: "I've lost over £1,000 in total – it's devastating. I placed a number of bets on different events and now I've got nothing to show for it."

A spokesperson for retro-bet.com said that the company was "working hard to resolve the situation as quickly as possible", but did not give any further details about what had happened or how long it would take to fix the issue.

This is not the first time that retro-bet.com has been hit by an attack – in January of this year, the site was shut down for two days after suffering a similar breach.

Attack on Retro online casino leaves customers vulnerable

Retro online casino, which has been around for over a decade, was the target of a cyber attack that left its customers vulnerable. The casino's security team discovered the breach on March 15 and immediately shut down the site to prevent further damage. Manual review of customer data revealed that the attackers had accessed user account information including names, addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers. However, passwords were not compromised in the attack.

While Retro is still investigating the incident and has yet to determine the scope of the breach, it has already taken steps to improve its security measures. In a statement released to customers, Retro said:

"We are extremely sorry that this happened and we are working hard to ensure that it doesn't happen again. We have taken steps to improve our security measures and we are committed to doing everything possible to protect your data."

Customers who may have been impacted by the attack are encouraged to change their passwords as a precautionary measure.

Retro gaming site hit by attack – users warned to be vigilant

A retro gaming website has been hit by a cyber attack, with users being warned to be vigilant.

The attack, which was first reported by HackRead, targeted Gaming Retro, a website dedicated to providing news and information on old-school video games.

According to the site's administrators, the attackers managed to gain access to the site's database and steal user information.

This included usernames, passwords, e-mail addresses and IP addresses.

In a post on the site's forums, an administrator said: "We have just been hacked and as such all user passwords and email addresses have been stolen. I advise you all to change your passwords on any other sites where you use the same password."

It is not clear how the attackers managed to gain access to the site's database, but they may have used a technique known as SQL injection.

This is a common attack technique that exploits vulnerabilities in web applications and allows attackers to inject malicious code into them.

Gaming Retro isn't the only website to have been hit by a SQL injection attack in recent months. In March, popular photo sharing site Flickr was also targeted in this way.

How to play Attack on Retro as the site is targeted by hackers

Retro Attack

If you're playing the popular game Attack on Titan / AoT, then you may be wondering how to play it now that the official site has been hacked. Here are some methods to help you out while the Retro team fixes the bug.

  1. Download the game files from a third-party site. There are many sites that have the game files available for download, so you should have no problem finding them. Just be sure to scan the file for viruses before installing it on your computer.

  2. Use a VPN service to play the game. A VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a service that allows you to connect to the internet through a server located in a different country. This will give you access to websites that are blocked in your country. You can use a VPN to play Attack on Titan even if the official website is down.

  3. Play the game offline. If you don't want to download or use a VPN service, you can still play Attack on Titan offline. Just follow these simple steps: 3a. Open your browser and go to "file:///C:/Users/USERNAME/AppData/Local/Google/Chrome/User Data/Default/Cache" (replace USERNAME with your own username). 3b. Delete all of the files in this folder. 3c. Restart your computer and try again!

Slotgaming site suffers attack – players urged to take precautions

As if the online gaming industry didn't have enough problems, a new one has reared its head in the form of a cyber-attack on Slotgaming, one of the world's largest sites dedicated to slot machines.

The attack, which was first detected on October 3rd, took advantage of a vulnerability in Slotgaming's software that allowed the hackers to access player data. While it is as yet unclear what information was accessed, or whether any credit card details were compromised, the company has urged players to take precautions and change their passwords as a precaution.

The attack is just the latest in a long line of such incidents targeting online gaming companies. Late last year Swedish site Betsson was hit by hackers who managed to make off with €6 million, while rival Unibet had €2 million stolen from its coffers. In both cases the companies were able to reimburse customers who had their funds stolen, but the attacks serve as a reminder of the dangers that online gamers face.

The fact that Slotgaming has been targeted will come as no surprise to industry observers. The site is among the most popular in the world, with over 18 million registered users. It is also one of the most profitable, having pulled in over $1 billion in revenue last year. With so much at stake, it is no wonder that hackers are targeting sites like Slotgaming in an attempt to steal sensitive data or money.

So what can players do to protect themselves? Firstly, they should always make sure they are using up-to-date antivirus software and firewalls. They should also be wary of phishing emails and websites that may attempt to steal their login details. Finally, they should always use strong passwords and never use the same password on more than one site.

While it is unfortunate that sites like Slotgaming are being targeted by hackers, players can take steps to protect themselves and minimise the risk of their personal data being compromised.
